JAI’s founder, Jim Jacobi II, created JAI in December of 2012. Jim graduated high school and joined the Air Force in 2003. While enlisted he worked on C-130’s for four years. After returning home from the military, he was hired by Hawker Beechcraft in Indianapolis. While working there he noticed the quick and professional service provided by engine companies that would come and perform hot section inspections on the jets in the hangar. Jim realized that this quick professional mobile service wasn’t widely available to the general aviation community for their aircraft.
While deciding how best to provide this professional mobile service, Jim worked for an FBO in Fishers- building his GA experience. After 3 years with the FBO, Jim set out to provide his services to central Indiana’s GA community, and has continued to do so since.
With experience ranging from military to mid-size corporate jets to small LSA aircraft to vintage warbirds, Jim’s 20 years of experience has provided him the expertise to work on nearly all GA aircraft.
